Fresh is best:

Vegetable Stir-Fry

1 tbspMargarine
1 tbspPeanut oil
1 lbCarrots, peeled and thinly sliced
3/4 lbMushrooms, thinly sliced
5Medium green onions, thinly sliced
1 tbspFresh lemon juice
2 tbspSherry
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tspNutmeg
1 tspThyme
Preparation
Rinse broccoli and trim. Separate florets by cutting into quarters so they are uniform size. Peel stems and cut into 2" lengths. Set aside. I agree whole-heartedly! The Itlaians do it right... shop daily for meals that night. They don't plan a menu, but make what is freshest, in-season, and looks the best at the grocery or market that day.

Oh yeah! Packaged foods have so many preservatives it takes away from the quality. You can't beat fresh!
