FRESH LIME FRUIT SALAD
Fresh lime and sour cream makes a refreshing dressing versatile enough to use as a dip for fresh fruit.
Preparation time: 15 min Chilling time: 30 min
Yield: 8 servings
Dip Ingredients:
1 cup Sour Cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons freshly grated lime peel
Dippers Ingredients:
Assorted fresh fruit (apple wedges, banana slices, grapes, strawberries, cherries, etc.)
Combine all dip ingredients in small bowl. Cover; refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
Serve dip with assorted fresh fruit.

Vegetable Stir-Fry
Ingredients
1 lbBroccoli
1 tbspMargarine
1 tbspPeanut oil
1 lbCarrots, peeled and thinly sliced
3/4 lbMushrooms, thinly sliced
5Medium green onions, thinly sliced
1 tbspFresh lemon juice
2 tbspSherry
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 tspNutmeg
1 tspThyme
Preparation
Rinse broccoli and trim. Separate florets by cutting into quarters so they are uniform size. Peel stems and cut into 2" lengths. Set aside. In a large skillet or wok, heat margarine and oil over medium heat. Add broccoli, carrots, mushrooms and onions. Cook and stir 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp.
Stir in lemon juice, sherry and other seasonings. Serve immediately.

I agree whole-heartedly! The Itlaians do it right... shop daily for meals that night. They don't plan a menu, but make what is freshest, in-season, and looks the best at the grocery or market that day.
