I just broke up with my boyfriend of 11 months. We were extremely close... we were even promised. But there were a couple things about him that I just couldn't picture myself marrying. Here were the three biggest things: he's pretty immature, he's controlling, and I just wasn't happy. None are qualities I want in a husband. I knew that was where our relationship was heading.

Then... there's a different guy. I really like him, and he shares the same feelings for me. But I still love my ex. He knows this and doesn't want to get involved with me til I'm over my ex. I haven't been really good friends with this guy until recently, but I feel us connecting on a really deep level. Plus this guy is more mature and better looking [which doesn't really matter that much... I judge more by personality.]

So who do you think I should choose? They both have their good qualities... It's a tough decision...

You don't say what good qualities your ex has going for him. You seem to have convinced yourself to get involved with the new one though and have already made your decision. Just carefully read your question to yourself and then answer it replacing yourself with your best freind.

You should choose yourself. If you want anything to happen with the new guy, you need to take some time to yourself to heal over the break up. Otherwise the new guy will just be a rebound. Or if you want him to be a rebound, go for it. But you still need time to yourself and away from men to heal and grieve.

Give it time for your feelings to sort themselves out. There's no reason to chose right now. You're experiencing a break-up, deal with that and your feelings before you introduce anyone else to the mix.

Explore your feelings with your new friend. There's nothing wrong with moving on. Enjoy the time you spend with him and let the relationship grow!
