I still have a year and a half until I turn 18. My parents are not good parents, they are divorced, my dad has a horrible temper calls me horrible names. My mom screams and also has a horrendous temper and her boyfriend is an abusive drunk. My question is when I turn 18, I mean the day I turn 18, will my mother no longer have custody of me. for example, I could say F*** you I am moving and she could do nothing about it whatsoever

That's correct. Just make sure you don't need her for anything before you do that.

Yes. Once you are 18, you are legally an adult and can move out if you like. Your mom cant do anything about it at that point.
In some states, its 17, so its worth checking your state laws.

um basically i'm 18 but i haven't done that seeing i have no job or anything but your pretty much an adult by law so when u leave they can't report u missing because the cops are going to say ur not a minor and it was ur choice good luck

Yeah once you turn 18 your parents can only do so much like give you advice if you need it but, they ain't got control of you so you can do what every you want but, don't do nothing you will later regret.

By law you can do that. Don't burn any bridges with family, they are always going to be your relations, and people do change to the better in some instances.

im kinda surprise but yes youre able to move out but if she was a nice mother you wouldn't treat her any different and you shouldn't disrespect ur mother
LOOK IM 18 YEARS OLD I PARTICALLY MOVED OUT WHEN I WAS 17 YRS OLD AND REGRET IT BECAUSE MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY LIKE8 DAYS AGO AND SHE ALWAYS THOUGHT I DIDN'T WANT TO LIVE WITH HER AND I DID WANT TO LIVE WITH HER.
