You are born with a certain skin type and you will always be that skin type for the rest of your life. However, you can buy oil-control moisturiser to help control your sebum (oil) production so you don't go shiny half way through the day. Having an oily skin type isn't all bad! (I have oily skin myself) Oily skin isn't as prone to premature aging as dry skin is! :o)
Try Dermalogica's "Oil Control Lotion". You can buy it from Salons that use the products.

Yes there is. Oily skin is usually caused by using cleansers that are too harsh! I suggest you put moisturizer on at least 4 times a day. use a very mild soap or cleanser on your skin twice a day for two weeks, and then go to once a day. MaryKay Timewise is an excellent cleanser (for guys OR girls). Almay makes a few good ones as well.

You could try using product especiall designes for your skin type, Try Biore, it is really good. Someone also recommend that I use a toner morning & night, I use the Biore toner, it works really well.
Its also good for your skin to use a face mask once a week.
Hope that helps.

One thing you shouldnt do is to wash or scrub too much. It makes your skin produce more oils. Gently clean and use a toner after. A deep scrub is ok 1x/week.
