I know a girl that was a good friend, but lately, she has become a close friend. We became closer since I told her that I could see myself with a girl like her, and now, she touches me more everytime she sees me. I just kinda let her touch my arm, tap my upper leg, lean against me, and hug me whenever she feels like it. She tells me she is touchy-feely, and she touches me more everytime I see her. I ignore it because she says it is her personality, but other people are starting to think things. Should I continue to allow her to advance? Would it matter that everyone thinks she is nuts about me?

Depends on what you want from her. If your interested then it sounds like she's sending you all the signals. Stop thinking so much and start doing something about it. If you're not, then you need to set her straight now to avoid hurt feelings later.

You control this situation and you have to decide if her touching is appropriate. As you are aware your body's hormones may react more than even hers. This is where the line must be drawn. If her advances provoke sexual arousal you are entering into much more dangerous territory. Other people will undoubtedly notice her attentions towards you and will think you are a couple. It is up to you to decide if you are. Judging from the way the question is asked I am surmising that your culture may or may not approve of this. As a result only the two of you can determine how far this touching should go. Do not violate your family's honor (or hers) and continue to behave as a gentleman should.

She likes you, that's why she's touching you like that (ignore her excuses about how it's just her personality - I guarantee you, if she didn't have feelings for you, she would NOT be touching you that much!).
Also, it's a way of her subtly telling any other girl around that she wants you and they shouldn't try and approach you!
Now, it depends where you want to go with this girl - if you want to get involved with her, keep letting her touch you. If you don't want to date her, you're leading her on and you should tell her to stop touching you so much, becaue people are getting the wrong idea.
