mine is like really close maybe a 7 min drive but i wont step foot in the masjid until they change their ways there.they have pictures and drawing of people and animals in the women salat room .and at one time they had statues (trophy's)women comin in with perfume so much that u cant even concentrate on your salat.when the athan is bein recited in the masjid they women keep on talking and never recite afterwards.i would rather be at home .and plus we women get more rewards and blessing if we do salat at home.

Where I live now, it's only a couple blocks away, so I walk. But for you, I think carpooling is a great idea, that's probably what I would do if mine were far away.

The two different places I go are both far. The Buddhist monastery is a shade under an hour drive-time, and the UU church, where I usually only go on special occasions, is about an hour and a half away. (We have a closer UU, but they vary wildly from one to another and I like the further one better.)

Its however close or far I choose it to be. Wiccans create their own sacred space when and where they need them or desire them. We have no need for churchs when nature is all around us and the gods are in everything.

Mine is right outside my back door, in my yard among the oak trees.
