One average sized can for two people/servings would be reasonable servings. Thus, 22 divided by 2 would be 11 cans. I would just had a couple of more cans to make it sufficient.

I'm assuming you mean the little peeled potatoes, almost bite-sized, that come in a can? On the can it should say how many servings the can contains, and then you can figure from there. If you have a membership at Sam's Club, Costco, or some other warehouse-type club, they will have really large cans of potatoes. Sometimes you can also find the large cans at a regular grocery store.

about 2 pounds maybe 2.5 depending on the size of the people and if they eat like birds or like real people I make a major meal every year with my mom too and we don't make large amounts of every item because not everyone eats the same amounts I might have a serving spoonful as my brothers might have 4-5 of any one item

think about 3.5 oz - 5 oz per person
soooooooooooooooo

22x3.5 =77 oz
77 divided by 16 = 4.8 so make 5 pounds
22x 5= 110
110- =6.8 pounds make 7 pounds

so make 6 pounds
you will have left overs
