Hyperparathyroidism, A condition where the Parathyroid gland produces an excess amount of Parathyroid hormone which causes hypercalemia--increase calcium in the blood. Primary HPT is caused by either an ademona of the gland or hyperplasia of the parathyroid gland. Because people will experience pain in various regions sometimes this get misdiagnosed. The develop gallstone, kidney stones, bone fractures, calcification of the aortic and mitral valves, severe abdominal cramping, weakness, depression and seizures...the saying goes-- Bones, stones, groans, moans.
