You should see an ear, nose, throat specialist and have your thyroid checked out! I had the same problem up to the point I could'nt eat anymore! I had to drink ensure cans, that's a meal replacement. I got checked not by a family doctor because she didn't know what I had. My throat specialist had an ultrasound done of my throat and turns out I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis! I needed to take anti-inflammatories! Don't wait, get yourself checked before it gets worse! Good luck!!

is it all the time? only with some foods? you can have it checked out, get an upper GI done. its not that bad, i had to have one once, i woke up one night with a really bad headache and took some asprin, but i guess it didnt go down all the way and it just stayed in my throat and burned it, it felt like someone was slicing my throat every time i tried to swallow anything, and it went on for a week. i couldnt eat anything but slimfast it hurt so bad. but by the time i got the appointment it was almost completely better (in fact the day of the appointment was the first day i was able to have solid foods)

so they can go look and make sure there isnt anything pressing on your thoat or if there is an abnormality. but like you said, it could just be anixety, or it could just be an alergie thats making your throat swell a little, or it could be something else that needs to be treated. best to go get it checked out.

Some people naturally have a slightly weak swallowing reflex, which may be exacerbated by certain foods. The more you think about it the harder it'll be to swallow.

If you're worried though you should always see a doctor.

Try drinking water. Lots of water. If this is something, it's probably gastrointestinal, like reflux. Your worrying causes the reflux. You might worry about what I'm writing, and get more reflux. Does your esophagus burn also? That is a sure indicator of some type of reflux. Try deep breathing, meditation, prayer in order to relax.

There is a condition called zenker's diverticula that can cause difficulty swollowing. It also is accompanied with bad breath, hoarse voice, regurgitation of undigested food. Onther thing is that the upper esophageal sphincter is too tight. Get it checked. If it is anxiety then you will get piece of mind.

You should really see a doctor, but I think there is a problem with your oestraphagus, the tube that links your throat to your somach, this may be due to inflammation or damage of some kind.

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/byUwM

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.

you should probably go to the doctor, it sounds like something that needs to be examined by a professional.
