Aussies-O wrote; "I fail to see what being judgmental has to do with survival. On the contrary...it leads to war and death." If you don't think that judging the behaviour of a wolf or a wolf pack or the weather or the thickness of ice on a lake or someones intentions has nothing to do with survival. Then you need to ask someone to slap you and tell you to wake up !

What is the difference between having an opinion about something and being judgmental. Is an a opinion a form of judging. My opinion on this Q is that it is thought provoking, did I judge it?

You're reaching...if you mean "judgmental" in our mating choices, biology suggests that this happens on a more "instinctual" level than you are suggesting.
AND you're over-simplifying. Yes, judgment is necessary and important, but "judgmental" implies a lack of empathy or sympathy toward the person(s) you are judging. The "Encarta" definition is "tending to judge or criticize others based on moral judgments." The implications are negative; a judgmental person has a "holier than thou" attitude, and often makes "judgments" base solely on their OWN morals, which may not always apply to the person(s) you are judging, and it tends to objectify people, reducing them to your own strictures and standards, without taking into account the whole person and their situation.

Before you form an opinion on someone you should take into account all that their actions are sourced from. Until you can fully understand someone and their actions then no judgment should be passed.
Being judgemental is a negative thought process that lets the one judging feel better about themselves by putting another below them. Choosing not to judge but to understand and then let be is the higher intellectual ground to take.

Being judgmental is part of human nature.
How can you bring up a child without judging him?
You can judge others silently and keep your thoughts for yourself. It is not correct to judge people on your believes of what is right and wrong...because there is no reason to believe that you are right. Even many governments laws are wrong. So you cannot even use the law to prove that you are right.
What's right is what's work for you. That don't mean that it works for everybody else.
To answer your question...someone telling you that you are judgmental is not judging you. He is only stating the fact that you are.
I fail to see what being judgmental has to do with survival. On the contrary...it leads to war and death.

There is a saying that when you dislike other's beahvior, it means most likely you have also that kind of behavior. In a sense right but not always. Judgmental in a negative sense when we degrade others, postitive if by such an act we are able to make a good choice. No, it is not the most important surviival behavior... it is love of God and of neighbor.

because of the fact we've not yet come to the factor of awareness the place the two perspectives will meet, yet Quantum Scientists are engaged on it. it may be great for people who supposedly have faith interior the Bible does not only study the words of the scripture, yet delve and contemplate the meanings. Asking questions like why are there 2 variations of an analogous introduction tale. could desire to they no longer evaluate that with technology? that's glaring that the 2d introduction tale differs from the 1st and how the 2d explains earth's introduction and not the Universe's? The Bible does not conflict with technology, however the human understanding of what's written does.

mmm kinda. Yes and no. If someone is just stating a fact, then no - they aren't being a hypocrite. Then there's the opposite end of that too.
Survival behavior? No. Some folks sure like to think so though, huh?

We do need to judge rightly. We need to llive by the truth, and speak the truth. We need to be a light to those who do not know the truth or deny the truth. To tell someone the truth about their actions and the results of them, is an act of love if done in love.

In the Bible there is a saying...."pull the log out of your own eye before you pull the twig out of someone elses." this is what I base my thoughts off of. It makes perfect sense.
