Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Jesus did not say buy arms.

St Luke chapter 22 verses 32 and 33, reads as thus : And he said unto them , when i sent you out with out purse and scrip and shoes did you lack anything .but now he that hath a purse let him take it and like wise his scrip and he that hath no sword let him sell his garment and buy one
What does this means , i do not think this is a call to arms for we are told that this battle is not of the flesh , but a spiritual one for Ephesians chapter 6 verse 12 says we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities , against powers ,against the darkness of this world ,against spiritual wickedness in high places
