Are you the type of person that takes a bite off their fork and uses their lips rather than their teeth, as to not leave behind any food on the fork that clumps up and looks pretty gross? I am, but my husband isn't. I love him and accept him for who he is- it's this fork thing that he does LOL! ...And this is a pet peeve I've had since I was really young (a kid). It looks really gross! LOL We were eating biscuits and gravy thismorning- if you get the picture... If you've had a similiar experience with pet peeves and trying to not let them bother you, especially with someone so close (spouse, boyfriend, family member...) PLEASE let me know a good way to let it not bother you as much!

My wife drives me mad by never getting to the point. I just smile and say, "Any chnace of getting to the end before we retire?"

Other than letting them know it drives you nut, there is not much else you can do. I have many pet peeves myself and when someone irritates me, I usually have to walk away from it for a bit to get calmed down. Bossy people are a big pet peeve of mine. You can't tell them their bossy or else they'll tell you not to say things like that. You can't win! Look away while he's eating, or if it's a casual thing, don't sit down until he's nearly done - then you avoid watching him eat. I feel your pain.

wow, I never thought about the way I take the food off my fork.. I suppose I use my lips.. is it really that gross though? I mean you're married, so I assume you kiss right? and the food is no different other than the fact that it's in smaller pieces.. what's so gross?

.You can give him a hidden notice in a joking way, and laugh.
