Judaism was born out of response the oppression in Egypt. The Egyptians made their Pharoahs into kings and all his subjects were treated as slaves. We learn from the stories in the Torah that God's chosen people will never make a man into God.
The Egyptians and many other neighboring cultures practiced human sacrifice. We learned from God when he stopped the sacrifice of Isaac, that human sacrifice is never acceptable to God's chosen people.
The sole purpose of the messiah is to bring peace on earth and justice for all mankind. What they "believe" plays no part in his judgement.
Messiah : The Criteria
Judge for yourself:
Did Jesus fulfill ALL these criteria?
The Jewish tradition of "The Messiah" has its foundation in numerous biblical references, and understands "The Messiah" to be a human being - without any overtone of deity or divinity - who will bring about certain changes in the world and fulfill certain criteria before he can be acknowledged as "The Messiah".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, he must be Jewish - "...you may appoint a king over you, whom the L-rd your G-d shall choose: one from among your brethren shall you set as king over you." (Deuteronomy 17:15)
He must be a member of the tribe of Judah - "The staff shall not depart from Judah, nor the sceptre from between his feet..." (Genesis 49:10)
To be a member of the tribe of Judah, the person must have a biological father who is a member of the tribe of Judah.
He must be a direct male descendant of King David and King Solomon, his son - "And when your days (David) are fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who shall issue from your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will make firm the throne of his kingdom forever..." (2 Samuel 7:12 - 13)
The genealogy of the New Testament is inconsistent. While it gives two accounts of the genealogy of Joseph, it states clearly that he is not the biological father of Jesus. One of the genealogies is through Nathan and not Solomon altogether!
He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel -"And he shall set up a banner for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." (Isaiah 11:12)
Are all Jews living in Israel? Have all Jews EVER lived in Israel since the time of Jesus?
He must rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem - "...and I will set my sanctuary in their midst forever and my tabernacle shall be with them.." (Ezekiel 37:26 - 27)
At last check, there is NO Temple in Jerusalem. And worse, it was shortly after Jesus died that the Temple was DESTROYED! Just the opposite of this prophecy!
He will rule at a time of world-wide peace - "...they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Micah 4:3)
Have you seen a newspaper lately? Are we living in a state of complete world peace? Has there ever been peace since the time of Jesus?
He will rule at a time when the Jewish people will observe G-d's commandments - "My servant David shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall follow My ordinances and be careful to observe My statutes." (Ezekiel 37:24)
The Torah is the Jewish guide to life, and its commandments are the ones referred to here. Do all Jews observe all the commandments? Christianity, in fact, often discourages observance of the commandments in Torah, in complete opposition to this prophecy.
He will rule at a time when all people will come to acknowledge and serve one G-d - "And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, says the L-rd" (Isaiah 66:23)
there are still millions if not billions of people in the world today who adhere to paganistic and polytheistic religions. It is clear that we have not yet seen this period of human history unfold.
All of these criteria are best stated in the book of Ezekiel Chapter 37 verses 24-28:
And David my servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd. they shall also follow My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Yaakov my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt and they shall dwell there, they and their children, and their children's children forever; and my servant David shall be their prince forever. Moreover, I will make a covenant of peace with them, it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, which I will give them; and I will multiply them and I will set my sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. And my tabernacle shall be with them: and I will be their G-d and they will be my people. Then the nations shall know that I am the L-rd who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary will be in the midst of them forevermore.
If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, then he cannot be "The Messiah." A careful analysis of these criteria shows us that to date, no one has fulfilled every condition.
Certainly NOT Jesus.

Question; If many 'Christians' currently do not obey Jesus; why should the Jews listen currently to the Christians' who assert he was the Messiah (Greek; Christos; English Christ)?
The Jews and Christians are both given the 'two or more witnesses' principle. (Deut. 10-20; about three times; Christians Matt.18:16, 2 Cor. 13:1). Applying this principle to scripture; one finds the 'Old Testament' is not Genesis-Malachi, but the law of Moses (Exodus 20-Deut, 27). Can one have the law of Moses, before Moses is born? (Moses's birth recorded in Exodus 2). I could go on; but will stop here for now.

To understand this you have to read the history of the Jews and discover their mindset, but basically the Jews had to fight off invaders literally from the first moment they came into Canaan, and when the Romans occupied their homeland the Jews were tired of foreign oppressors, the Zealot class among the Jews had long preached that the Messiah would be a warrior King who would destroy the Romans and place other nations under Jewish control and this concept of a warrior Messiah became the ideal of the nation.
When Jesus came He was not like this and preached forgiveness and tolerance towards the enemy and so He did not fit the role of a warrior King and so they rejected Him.
Having said this there are many Jews today who have come to accept that Jesus was the Messiah and these are called `Messianic Jews`.

the jews were there when jesus was there. imagine if some guy stood up today and said he was the son of god, many smelly homeless people do. would you follow him or think he was crazy? if you'd follow him then there are plenty of saviors in the nut house that you can worship. imagine still that chris angel came out and did some magic tricks while claiming to be jesus. walk through the great wall, turn your quater into a dove, whatever it would take to convince you.

i've got faith he's the Son of God. To me meaning they're 2 separate entities. A Father and a Son. He replaced into the 1st spirit conceived and the only begotten of the father interior the flesh.

At best he was a failed messiah and at worst a force that has caused more harm then anything this world has ever seen.
As for your tales they are only documented in the christian bible also he failed to fulfill any of the main prophecies relating to the Messiah. Finally he contradicted the word of G-d (Torah)

That is a good question. From what I understand the Jewish people thought that Jesus would save them physically, to deliver them from a situation. When Jesus actually saved them spiritually. Are the Jews still waiting for the "1st" coming of Christ? I would like an answer from a knowledgeable Jewish person. The Bible says that He came unto his own and his own received him not.(Something close to that) I hope that we get a good answer. I have been asking myself that same question the last couple of days. Peace out.

Judaism teaches Monotheism; one G-d.
Christianity teaches that Jesus is equal to G-d, & then they add on the Holy Spirit, too...making 3 gods.
This belief in 3 gods is contrary to Deuteronomy 6:4, which states
"Hear, O Israel, the L-RD our G-d, the L-RD is one".
Judaism...1 G-d; Christianity...3 gods.

Because they stumbled at the 'Stumbling stone' as the Scriptures say.
They still want to get to heaven by their good works ...just like the Muslims....That way you can ignore that you are a sinner and need a Savior....one who pays the price for our sins...
They want a Messiah who is only a ruler and not a suffering servant.
All the prophecies of Old test. predicted Christs coming and were fulfilled by Christ.

It was stated that He would be rejected by his own, the elders, scribes, priests...etc. He was scorned, mocked, ridiculed and crucified by his own people because they didn't believe He was the Son of God... they believed he was blasphemous in his teachings...No man could be the Son of God... how could that be possible to believe? Their minds were closed to the Truth and yet they professed to be religious leaders of the people...

Because short of the Bible, there is no evidence at all that he did the things stated in it.
And the Bible tells the story of a man who failed many of the prophecies required of the HaMosiach, and broke many of them outright.
