Call him. Email him.

Maybe you missed something?

Did you miss him ... miss a "hot" date by any chance? Did he hint at something about a special date you both had planned, but you didn't make?

He's at home waiting for your call this very instant. He's been waiting since the weekend when you were feeling bad. He's been waiting all the time.

Personally, no matter who I'm dating or friends w/, birthdays, anniversaries, christmas are not that big of a deal to me. I always almost forget about them and never want to do much for them. To some people, these days are just not that important. As long as he shows his affection in other ways, like tells you how much he likes you, hugs or kisses you a lot, takes you out, buys you cute things randomly, or whatever, then I dont think it's that big of a deal. To me a date is just a number.

I think it's appropriate to express regret for the memory lapse with a promise to make it up to them in some way....plan a special date and do just that! Don't begrudge what you promise to do or act as if you don't understand what all the fuss is about; have the right attitidute and make sure it's an unforgettable time for the both of you. So, whether it's a weekend trip alone, a special evening out, make sure it's a relaxing time when you shut out the rest of the world.

I think that a stony, cold silence would be worse than any tongue-lashing I could ever receive.

Utter disdain from my partner would hurt so much more than any insult they could throw at me.
