I don't think that I am narrow-minded neither do others think that about me (except you guys, who can judge someone only by reading a few words...amazing).
neither am I "so enlightened et cetera"(but I liked this reply), I know I am not perfect...but this is the difference between us: I strive for perfection. and this undoubtedly requires an objective view of ego. I mean I am criticising myself more often (and more "harder") than others because I don't want to have any kind of "mystake" or "lowering" atitudes.
and for those who think that I am a "want-to-be-god"-like, then you're not wrong entirely...I am my own god, but not yours.
and yes...my first question was to know your reaction, the result: although I didn't tell that you are all narrow-minded, you understood it as you wanted to or you felt offended who-knows-why (yes...sarcastic).
So i might sometimes express my disgust towards those who are not striving for perfection (yes,I know that perfection doesn't exist).

Good question. I used to pride myself on being very informed and in the current about every issue. I've found that I've backed off quite a bit more and feel a more happy person because of it. New York Times Week in Review tells me what I need to know. I take a daily glance at headlines, maybe skim the article but find that nothing really changes when you get down to it. Also, due to the area I live in at this time I am unable to watch television and the pricing is outrageous for cable. However, I have a feeling if I was able to watch it then I'd at least hear what the major stories are. Other than that, it's paper and online

You have the right to your own views and opinions. We all do. Just remember that although you strive for that perfection you could be hurting someone else that maybe just needs a kind word or maybe just didn't say something exactly as you thought they should. I'm sorry to hear that you feel you are your own God. He does however live inside of you so if you are trying for perfection to please Him that that is a good thing. Sorry to hear the bitterness in your message. I wish you much luck on your road to perfection.

I agree with you on most of this. But I don't think my sister would agree with you on the no one's perfect, because she seems to think she is. LOL. Sorry I had to add a little humor to my answer. I think you should keep it up your doing good so far from what I've read. I also agree that most people on here are noarro-minded and stuck up about certain things but you'll find people like that everywhere you go sadly. I just thought you should know I'm on your side with all of this!!

I have noticed some of this going on, so I posted a few silly questions- just to see the re-action I get- but I must say, no response- the com is not so bad in general.

For someone who says they are trying to tame their own ego you sure have a colossal melodrama going with YOU as the star.

Your self absorption is boring.

You are not your own god! God is your god and you are just given your body & soul to serve Him.
