What are the positives and negatives to this assumption?

I must say darling, you sound a bit big-headed. I've read some of your previous questions and they all tend to revolve around either people hating your or people being jealous of you and you always seem to mention the fact that you are considerably attractive and dress well.

So, people are merely feeding off a vibe that you're throwing at them. Sad but true. Sure, people will assume a pretty girl is full of herself. I've had that problem growing up, as well. Still, character and personality goes further than superficial things like unwarranted envy. Eventually people get over looks. But if the person is emitting a certain aura of arrogance or conceitedness, people will immediately dislike this person unless they themselves are conceited.

There are no positives to being thought of as conceited because it is a false sense of grandeur as there will always be someone prettier, richer, smarter, and more successful in life. Arrogance can definitely be a downfall because the most beautiful people, inside and out, tend to act with a humility that deters 'common folk' from hating them. These commoners actually are drawn to genuinely nice pretty people because its sort of a contradiction. Most pretty people are, in fact, conceited.

This is why I've been able to make so many friends later in life. People respect people who don't take themselves too seriously. Especially in the looks area. In the end, character trumps looks.

As a negative, no one likes a conceited person, but as a positive, people who think you are conceited most likely think more of you than you do yourself. If someone thinks you're conceited, they can probably see why you would be.

There's a difference between conceited and confident. A conceited person loves themself and think theirself better than others. A confident person recognizes their own fabulousness, but recognizes the fabulousness of those around them as well.
