avoid salty and sugary foods before and during your period!

Drink some ultra slimming tea along with a lot of citrus like oranges and grapefrits! works like a charm!

The less processed foods you eat, the less water you retain period!

Lots of citrus, caffeine and if that doesn't work then your doctor will give you diuretics (Water pills).

If you opt for the latter, then you will have to replenish the potassium your body eliminates. This can be accomplished with foods like green peppers and bananas or a supplement.

If you are truely retaining fluids you need to see the doc to find out what is causing this. Edema is not normal and the cause needs to be determined so the doc provide proper treatment.

how old are you?? young: try getting plenty of water. crazy....but true. when our bodies are dehydrated it holds fluid.
older: may be a sign of cardiovascular disease.
also, check out foods that help eliminate fluid retention.
