If you are too ashamed to tell your parents, you shouldn't be with him. Is this man serious about you? After two years, a real man would want you to tell your parents, meet them or something, unless your just some side ***. Are you prepared to take care of this man in about 10 years when his bodily functions break down. And he is in violation for dealing with you...56, in this day in time, he's old enough to be your grandfather or uncle..He's older than your parents, isn't he?

If you love him, then you should tell your parents. Especially if you think it is gettin serious. But my dad and his girlfriend are about in the same situation and they have been together for 5 years and have a 2 year old son. They seem pretty happy and they do not let the ago bother them, because the heart knows no age.

It's not wrong, not by me. But I don't think you feel that way. It's not about your parents; you don't want to feel embarrassed. Am I right?
You find this guy youthful and energetic despite his age. He understands you better than you understand yourself, I'm guessing. He also has great presence,
My feeling is that it will work out, but not on your terms. He's in the driver's seat; he probably knows about every thought you have, and he probably knows exactly what you are going to say or do. Be careful and be happy.

my sister is 19 and is involved with a 50 year old man and it grosses me out sometimes. what do u have to talk about with a man that old? what do u do for fun besides have sex and watch DVD's? Arent u worried that once u hit 25 he'll be looking for something younger, perhaps virginal? if I were u I would be careful, I'm sure youre head over heels in love with this man by now and once mom and dad find out i guarantee you they will flip out!

Sure it can last, at least until he is 76 and old when you are 43 and feeling young still.

No it won't. When you're 35 and ready to travel and have fun, he'll be 68, you can visit him in the home.

i think the biggest worry is whether you want it to last. when people get to that stage, settling down is usually the best option
