damn the ignorance to the question. the term NDE is near death experiance i wish people would get with the program.
i had 4 NDE's myself and i was a atheist before i became a pagan spiritualist and i know all about the other side and i also know that not a single person would seriously stay christian after such a event and yet people who are christians claim to have NDE's all the time. if that was the case why didnt i become a christian? why didnt i start going to church or believing in the bible god? because i aint no sheep and i know that there is more to life than simplying believing in a book or any thing else. you have to believe in your self first that is why i am a pagan spiritualist and not a christian and every atheist i have ever met that became a pagan of some sort had a NDE never became a christian after ward.
i dont like liars and christians are the biggest liars on NDE's to date.

My near-death experience happened after I was already an atheist and I remained an atheist despite the NDE. However, just having looked at some of the research, many people do in fact have profound changes to their metaphysical views. In many cases in the western world, the person is a moderate to strict Christian who 'feels the love of God' and does not feel a sense of judgement and comes out of the experience with a changed perception on the nature of God.

If they do, they're quite stupid.
People get quite up in NDE experiences. They brain doesn't have blood, oxygen, it's misfiring and can't record experiences properly (BIG SURPRISE!), yet folks get bent out of shape over it.
What is so mystical about a malfunctioning brain? It's a biological process that has shut down for cripes sake!

No. My NDE happened after my salvation. It reinforced and verified my faith. (Biblical Christian)
