you will always have it...i have a severe case of eczema that started my freshman year of college and i haven't seen relief yet...it's not as bad sometimes, but little environmental changes make it worse...recently, the drycleaner had been putting starch in my shirts and it made it reallllllly bad...it's kind of a trial and error thing...no medications make mine better...i've tried it all..only aloe vera gel makes ot stop burning for a bit...hope this helped you...

If eczema is the way your immune system causes your body to react to dust then you will most likely always suffer flareups when you are exposed to the allergen.

The best medicine I have found to treat it is a prescription medication called Elidel. My son was born with eczema and he never outgrew it and we tried all kinds of lotions and creams. This has been the first thing that has helped him with his terrible itching and inflamed rashes.

Good luck!

i haven't heard of a cure for eczema yet.. i started my eczema symptons in my junior year in high school and i still have not been able to get rid of it..

my dermatologist told me to:
1. take short luke warm showers
2. hypoallergenic everything! lotion.. soap..
3. baby detergent!
4. wear cotton clothing.. certain type of fabric may irritate your skin
5. moisturize within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower.
6. de-stress! stress can cause flare-ups!
7. stay cool-- do not sweat-- may irritate your skin even more.
8. use spf moisturizers
9. do not go into the sun
10. use cortisone 10 on affected areas.. it that doesn't work then you might want to go to a doctor to try Elidel, Protopic, or Elocon.

DO NOT SCRATCH! I DID AND I HAD A STAPH INFECTION!
