I chemically straightened my hair about 2 months ago, since then my hair has gotten thin and weak. I have split ends in the middle of my hair (where the chemicals start after my growth) and my hair breaks about 2 inches from my scalp. I've been using hot oil, not applying ANY heat to my hair (blow-dry or flat iron) and using anti-breakage shampoo. I have to clean my brush every day with the amount of hair i lose!

If you can help me in any way, please do!

P.S. I am also scheduled to get my hair cut about 6 inches shorter to get rid of some of the damage.

well, you are doing everything you can not to further the damage. unfortunately there is nothing you can do to repair hair. it is a dead organism. you can only use a good conditioner to make it appear better. getting that much hair cut off will definatley help it look better! I am so sorry this happened to you. i got my hair burned years ago with a perm and ended up getting it cut into a pixie (very short) cut because the damage went all the way to the top! good luck

try olive oil. heat some up apply it to your hair and rap it up in a heat cap, leave it on for as long as you can and do this 3 times a week and use a baby shampoo because it dont strip the oils out rinse your hair with cold water, dont brush your hair because bushing can break your hair off more use a wide tooth come and have regular trimes

I have darkish brown thick hair clearly. When it's darkish brown it appears healthful, glossy, and appears like I have much less hair & thinner. Thats simply an phantasm, type of like whilst you put on black garments, you seem thinner. When I get particularly blonde highlights far and wide, it appears particularly thick, broken, and appears like I have a ton of hair and you'll see each and every layer and perspective. one million.) Dark brown skinny hair doesnt seem dangerous. two.) Dark hair wont particularly make your hair seem thicker when you have skinny hair to start with. There are alot of goods in the market to make your hair seem extra volumized akin to shampoos. Also ensure you're taking a nutrition day-to-day and devour right vitamins. Your hair gets fitter.

good idea to cut short about 6 inches. massage rest of the hair with wheat germ oil.

If your hair is breaking there is really nothing you can do..Getting it cut regulary until it all grows out is probably going to be your best bet, plus conditioning it....No more chemicals, or heat..Be patient until it grows out...
