Hello I am known as a psychological interior designer. What that means is I match colors with their intended mood. For example, if you are painting a kitchen, and you enjoy baking I may suggest a Candy Apple Red, and use the same color in a weight room and call it Adrenaline Red. For a meditation room, I would suggest deep, natural earth tones. Anything from a deep glacier blue, a forest green, or even a sandstone. Any color you personally find to bring calming thoughts, are best, so only use manufactures suggestions as a guideline. It may take a bit of thought, and looking back to memories, from past, happy warm experiences, to find the right colors. Meditation is a very personal experience, and everyone finds Zen in different things, so think what is Zen to you?

Try painting it white..or maybe just one wall..Meditation leads to clear uncluttered and empty stilled mind and a pure white light is often visualised to achieve this. You could focus on one wall in the room and meditate on its blankness..very good for clearing the mind of thought. It is not really necessary to have the room any particular colour when meditating so it's just a suggestion. Paint it red by all means if that is the colour you feel suits you most.

Robin's egg blue, sage green or dusty pink. These are the most relaxing colors for the human spirit. The Robin's egg blue is what I would use because not only does it relax you, but it is also the color that makes a room look the largest....

It could look really great if you also faux finished clouds on the ceiling......

Why does color matter? Your eyes are closed when you meditate.
