how to extract certain hardware driver or a software (for example flash macromedia 9) installed in windows ?
so it would be possible to re-install them after formating the hard disk (in case you lost the original installation CDs)

Drivers can be backed up or "extracted" from your hard drive using a program like this one :

Flash you can just download again. For drivers, it would be easier to just go to the manufacturer's web site and download the drivers there.

you normally can find the drivers online. Windows usually searches online through the microsoft portal to retrieve compatible drivers.
