Dealers that that sell NFA firearms are much too numerous to list here, most have web sites and can easily be found by Googling.

I cut and pasted an answer I gave recently to another similar question.

"It's pretty amazing the amount of confusion that abounds in the minds of the general public in regard to the legalities of owning Class 3 firearms and suppressors, more correctly known as weapons registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934(NFA).

First off, you must live in a state that allows you to own NFA registered firearms and suppressors.

You DO NOT need a Federal Firearms License to own NFA weapons in most states, there are a couple of states that require a Curio & Relics FFL to legally own NFA weapons.

You must fill out what is known as a Form 4 and have it signed by the Chief Law Enforcement Officer (CLEO) of the city or county you reside in. His signature merely certifies that he knows of no state or local laws that prohibit the ownership of the weapon and that he knows of no legal reason that you personally can not own the weapon. You must also send in a fingerprint card and a Citizenship Certification form along with a check for the $200 transfer fee. This is a one time only fee and DOES NOT need to be renewed every 2 yrs. as someone above has stated.

After your paperwork has been reviewed and you have passed a routine background done, you will receive an approved Form 4 back in 2-6 months at which time you may take possession of your machine gun."

Go talk to the A. T. F. They will have all the forms, ect. You'll probably spend around $2-4 thousand by the time you are all done. Legally. Now here is my opinion: You don't need a machine gun. I can fire a semi-automatic about as fast as a fully automatic will fire. And more accurately. I've seen me do it. Unless you use a Traverse and Elevation for the machine gun, in which case you plan on wasting lots of ammo, and then you probably should join the military.

Machine guns, or fully automatic rifles are only good for suppressive fire or very large targets. They waste tons of ammo and are harder to maintain than a carbine, and that's why Uncle Sam doesn't give them out as general issue anymore. Just get an AR and learn to use it. They have super good instructors at Parris Island.

Actually, you can get a MAC for around $3000, but that's really the bottom end for machine guns now. If you have a budget of at least $5000, you should have plenty of choices for subguns.

You do NOT need to have an FFL to buy a machine gun. Some states have different requirements for ownership and some do not allow it at all.

Rather than go into all the specifics of it, read this FAQ. http://www.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs/usr/wbardwel/public/nfalist/nfa_faq.txt

It is the most comprehensive single work I've seen on the subject. That should give you everything you need to know.

Lancer nailed it!

One thing to think about is that most class 3 weapons run at least $5000 and that is for a MAC-10. M-16's typically run $10,000 to $15,000.

If I were to get a class 3 I would be sure to take VERY good care of it as the price will continue to hike and can be a very good investment.

first go to the bank and take out a mortgage on your house then don't tell your wife. don't do it. there are a few machine gun shoots through out the country, take a trip and enjoy.........they are worse the children. they eat a lot you cant use them for defense and the paper work never stops and if a Dem. becomes pres. he will go after your machine gun first and you might not get any money for it like they did in England and Australia...........they are fun. but i sold mine because of the headaches..........buy a semi auto.....

I've seen class 3 full automatic weapons list for sale for anywhere between 1500 and 50000 dollars. Full auto is a blast to shoot, and would probably be neat to own, but it's not a need for me.

First, you're going to need a Federal Firearms License. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Firearms_License

Then consult the laws in your state. Also see: http://www.atf.gov for other federal info.
