I just moved with my 3 year old back to indiana from florida because schools suck down there... i am a cna and the money is also better up here. yes we sacrifice the warmer climate for cooler weather in the winter, but i think it is well worth it because the schools are much better, property values are much better and the seasons are beautiful. If you want to move south I would suggest North Carolina! The Mountains are Beautiful especially in the winter with snow on them, but if you want some where to possibly progress since you are an rn, I would suggest somewhere like Atlanta, Ga

I am a michigan mom too. I am fortunate my husband has great position and is not replacable. I know the economy is bad. we have concidered moving as well. for warmer climate, more affordable housing etc......
So heres the downside.......... not having a support system. My family lives about 20 miles away, so not so close in range, but I can drop my kids off if I am in absolute need of a sitter, are child care? what will you do.
moving cost money, do you have employment, housing , medical insurance lined up? fi so..... then go for it, if you think your marriage ius strong, then go for it.
but remember this, from a womans stand point, if any way shape or form it is not strong, and persay you have another child out of state, your marriage fails, you will not be allowed to leave the stae under any circumstance if your husband wants rights. Thjat can call for a disaster.

Hi,
i live in a small family community called Dundas it is located in Ontario Canada. I have 2 children myself ages 10 and 3 and both like here very much. I wouldn't say its a warm climate but its mild. The elementary school only has 233 students so it is very small. This is a community where drugs are not a big issue like in some cities like L.A. I have lived here for 6yrs and would never consider leaving. At night time its so quiet and peacful, it has many trails for hiking as well a little shops. There has not been any cases of prostitution in my town. I know canada seems a little extreme but i assure you where i live it is very peacful. My mother lives in a nice little town in Alberta called Lethbridge, nothing happens there at all except farmer harvesting crop. I wouldn't want to live there myself but it might be an option for you.

Lakewood or Arvada both on the point of Denver and Northglenn with public transportation. Jefferson county has a large college gadget. Lakewood will quickly have mild rail into Denver besides as bus routes.

I live in Tennessee...
you would be about 11 hours from Michigan..if like mid-Mi...
be 8 hours from the beach in fla....
have the hills and the views and the country music..lol (nashville)
and our weather...today...it's going to be in the 60's...getting cooler rest of week...but it get's colder for the months of Jan-March...start having warm days in April....
so it's not a bad place... :)
RN jobs are in abundance here!
and it's a growing state..always construction...
good luck!

Burlington, VT. is supposed to be one of the best cities in which to live for a variety of reasons. forget the climate, the crime rate in Florida is awful!
