We was Jewish which are part of the white race, you could go to a grocery store in a wealthy white neighborhood and a quarter of the people there are probably Jewish and you wouldn't be able to tell them from everyone else.

A Jew from the tribe of Judah now with other tribes formed what is now we know Israel.
I think God selects Christ to be born as a Jew, because the Jews were people who are ready to serve. Christ said he comes to serve and not to be served. Who would want to do that except the Jews. Please read the Bible especially the account recorded in Genesis and Exodus. You can analyse from the days when the Jews were kept as slaves in Egypt.
Some say it is lucky that Christ came from the Jewish race. If he had come from the Chinese the Chinese would have kept him for themselves. Are you aware that the China was know as the God's land or Shen Zhou in the old days? They would have considered themselves as God's people. How would they want to share Him like the Jews did? The salvation message would never be propagated just like the Jews have been doing in the early centuries. All the books or holy books written about God or Christ would be kept away from the public. Only the emperors or rulers would have the chance to read them So only the Chinese are safe and saved. So we must thank God that he sent Christ to come from the Jewish race.

Abraham was a Syrian,Ruth a Moabite,Rahab the Harlot in Jericho I think was a Syrian as well,Bathsheba a Hittite,These all are part of the Linage of Christ.As for being a Jew that is only a name that was given to the tribe of Judah while in Canaan.There is no nationality or race that are Jews,it is in name only.

Hi, It was interesting to note that most of the answers given here say that Jesus was Jewish but this is wrong,Jesus was a Judean Semite as the term Jew is a modern term that was not around in His time, but came about through modern Bible translations.

Jesus was born in the Roman-occupied province of Judea of the lineage of David on his mother, Mary's side and is the firstborn of the Kingdom of God on His Father's side. Therefore He was/is an Israeli and of the Jewish faith. A child born to chinese parents is chinese even if he is born in South Africa.
