Actually there were seven different dogs in the lassie movies & they were all Male, even though the dog in the movie was supposed to be female, that's because Male dogs are more obediant than female dogs.

wasnt the numerous canines utilized in lassie actual adult males? so then she wasnt an actress and didnt positioned on the same coat, diverse canines in the experience that they seem the same does not equivalate the same coat :D
