its okay to feel quite mental after every chemical in your body is changed. i have been there.... i think A LOT of people hae.
its gonna take a while for your body to begin to repair itself and figure out its *** from its elbow. so anyway, you have made the best decision possible, and you should definetely just keep plugging along. eventually you will look back on it as a crazy time, but you will be able to move on to a BETTER place in your life now that the drugs are OUT!!
good luck.

Yes and the worst part is that you lose a lot of your friends. But they weren't really friends, only DRUG friends.
I did most everything and eventually got bored with the whole deal. When it's time to stop, it's easy to stop. You shouldn't have to suffer that much, unless all your friends are still into it of course.
And this is a hard time of year to go straight.
You are lucky, you have a strong personality that is not an addictive personality. So you have seen through the drug scene, seen it for what it was. Drugs make people BORING.
The biggest high for me now is just to have a clear head, to wake up in the morning with a clear head .
well done. If you need to seek help, then DO it. But you are strong and I know it can work out OK for you.

I knew a person at uni who did pills, weed and coke every day, and he went from a nice chilled out bloke to an utter lunatic in the space of 3 years (he did literally take a couple of ecstasy pills every day) - god knows how much money he must have spent.
Last time I saw him, he was striding through campus in broad day light smoking a spliff like he couldnt inhale it fast enough and with the most intense mannerisms I have ever seen. Halfway through a conversation he went a bit mental and started shouting at me because I 'didn't know anything' before storming off.
See, I did my fair amount of dumb stuff in my younger days, and damaged my brain like the best of them... but I knew when to stop, get m,y life together, manage a degree and do something with my life. That bloke was just a train wreck...a walking anti drugs advert if I ever saw one.
I wonder what became of him?

I smoked pot from about the age of 14 - 17 and stopped coz it was making me paranoid. but I started drinking and taking chemicals e.g pills, coke and base from then upto the age of about 21 (only on the weekends and not every weekend) untill it messed up my nerves so now i feel anxious alot of the time. I have now stopped everything but drinking on the weekends and my head feels clearer and not really paranoid. I worry about the damage too and i bet everyone does but doesnt say. Youve done the best thing you can by stopping, just try and forget it and look forward to a good life without that ****. I from what i can see most people are doing drugs these days, try not to beat yourself up over it.

i haven't suffered since i quit smack and crack 3 years ago.everything that has happened since has been for the better.i was a user for 11 years.it's so good to be able to wake up in the morning feeling good naturally, not cos i've taken something to make me feel that way temporarily.don't have to start panicking anymore about how i'm gonna get money for the next hit.i can walk the streets without trying to target people to ask for money.don't have to risk my freedom by shoplifting.don't have to worry whether the next hit will be my last cos i might overdose.don't have to sleep rough anymore.just being able to wake up every morning and not have to worry about any of the above is a better buzz than anything that that crap could give me.

It's how you handle boredom or lack of creativity when you stop taking them. They are destructive and you have done the right thing by stopping-just try to avoid excessive alcohol consumption as a crutch-just because it's legal doesn't make it any less devastating to an addictive personality such as yours-Good Luck!!

most illegal substances will lead to paranoia eventually, some trigger szcisophrenia, ask yourself why you started taking the drugs in the firsr place.
I took my fair sare in the past, in fact i took a lot of peoples fair share. I found that the drugs may have been just used as a sticking plaster for bigger worries and all the drugs did was make it all worse

Not personally, but have had friends and most of them end up on some kind of medication, for their nerves or depression....Also, can cause neurological problems, so see a doctor and congrats on kicking the habit....Hope you feel better soon, if not look for a doctor who can help you more appropriately.

I don't think you will ever be the same, but definitely better off than if you had continued. Congratulations for doing something good I know it must have been hard. Just keep up the good work!

I'm a nurse. Unfortunately the hands of time can't rewind for you. Now you have to take care of yourself from now on. Also there are a lot of aftercare treatment centers that can help you with any issues you might have. Please consider my response and see a doctor. You are on the right track. You need the support to stay on it.
