I've noticed some people deliberately do that. Its an attention thing. Just ignore her and worry about your own work.

It is a statiscal probablity that if you work any place that employs more than five people, and least one of them is going be heavy on the "DUH" factor. At first you beat your head against the wall trying to educate them so they can be proficient at their job...well at least for the first 3 to 6 months. After that you decide it is easier just to work around them. The upside in today's economy with being "lean and mean" this person will eventually be eliminated from the company as they do not have demonstrated results. The downside is when the company has a growth spurt and hire more people, yep, you guessed it, you end up getting another "DUH".
Only useful purpose for a "DUH" is tell them how important it is that they discuss something with your boss when there is a time-crunch for a project they are suppossed to do and you need an extra 15 mins to 30 mins to complete a project yourself. Your boss will get exasperated, give the project to you and you can have it ready in short order, appearing much more efficent than they ever dreamed possible and you can bring this "I saved your a$$" on many projects that "DUH" was not able to complete and it is a strong argument for you getting a substantial raise.

Yeah, it was an older lady that is retired from here now. It would be like "how to you forward an e-mail?" I know she had to have written it down 10 times but still got me away from my work to show her. But then another lady showed her how to put the smiley face by using the (:) enter she was all over the office showing everybody. I think sometimes people don't want to learn how to do something so they won't get stuck with the responsibility.

Why do you have to keep telling her how to do things? If you are her boss or supervisor then do your job! If you are just a peer than do your job! Let her mistakes catch up with her. Right now you are doing your job and hers...does your pay reflect this?

Chill, they're all over the place. Nothing we can do but keep showing up. Pointing out that they're stupid will only draw attention to you. Do the best you can. Good luck.

Yes, there is this one girl, who is part of floor admin, who does not give the correct directions fully, she finally got caught out and was rattled and left the company.
Don't like something they do REPORT, it either fixes them or rids them

It reminds me of a cute story about a deacon who asked God for patience and God sent him a slow administrative assistant. I believe God sends us people like that to give/teach us what we've been needing to perfect. Maybe s/he's is your 'messege', Personally, I believe God is trying to tell you something :)
