I'm just like you I have flat feet and play on the USVBA volleyball which is Grand Island Islanders. Anyways sometimes it will effect your jumping abuility, it really depends if your feet are flat then your ankles can roll in or out so when you land to spike a ball for example, then you can land wrong I broke my ankle because of that. It really shouldn't bother you. I don't just keep trying to buy shoes with artch support and that should help for you flat and not affect your jumping ability. So really it just depends. So now it is up to you. :)

I'm 14 with flat feet and I also play volleyball. Having flat feet does affect not only your jumping ability but other running activities. Here are some tips that helped me and I hope can help you.

1) Support your ankles. Don't have your feet slipping around in your shoes. Wear two pairs of socks if you need to and tie up you shoes lace firmly.

2)When starting your approach start jumping up and down, it kind of gets you ready for the attack.

3) Do a proper approach. Don't have your feet wobbling all over the place or your ankles can slip out.

4)After the approach and going up for the attack, come up with a burst of energy like a spring.

5) Last, when landing try not to be too stiff or too loose.

Work on your leg muscles, and talk to your coach about anything you can do to add height to your jump.
