Any other time I would have said definitely a benefit. I love to have such accessible communication right here any time of the day or night. And I love being able to transfer information so quickly and easily. BUT.............at the moment my sister is upset with me that I don't email enough! She says she doesn't hear from me as much as she should............even though she hears from me more than most people do. SO.............at the MOMENT........a BURDEN!!! LOL! :]

A benefit. Granted, ya get junk mail from time to time, but you also get junk mail in snail mail, too. And it only takes a few seconds to deliver anywhere in the world. Plus, depending on what kind of email you got, it's free! Yahoo is free, anyway, unless you want your own website with your own name after the "@" sign. But, considering, email is a great benefit.

I'd say a benefit provided you are disciplined about when you check it and respond to received ones. Otherwise you're in and out of it all day which wastes time. Set a half hour twice a day and stick to it.

Def a benefit, but spam poses so much of a problem. No one ever seems to listen to the advice "Never click a link in an E-mail" . If everyone did this spam and scam would disappear. regards...

It can be both, YOU have to prioritise what you do with it, If people send you frivolous and pointless email you should make them aware of the fact and tell them that you have better things to do with your precious time
