I want to finish my bachelor's in Japan and join the Air Force as an officer. I am an RN but I don't want a BSN. I just want to know if the Air Force will pay 100% of my studies at Temple University in Japan? Especially when I plan to serve on their base in Okinawa.

Only if there is an AFROTC unit there. Without one, you cannot complete the required drills and studies, and therefore cannot receive the scholarship.

And there is no guarentee that you will ever get stationed in Japan. You go where the military needs you, plain and simple.

Does Temple U in Japan have an Air Force ROTC detachment? That's the key; if there's an AF ROTC detachment there where you can study and drill, then possibly. However, if Temple U in Japan doesn't have an Air Force ROTC detachment, there's really no way for you to be in ROTC there. You need to be at or near a university with a detachment. (For example, Harvard has no AF ROTC detachment but MIT does, so Harvard students wishing to be in AF ROTC take their ROTC courses and drill with the MIT detachment).

The military has been known to promise many things that after you sign up or inlist end up being altered and not at all what you thought. Once you are theirs, you are theirs and all promises are off.

Personally, I can't imagine the military being so cooperative, but why not ask them. Good Luck!
