All great restaurants. thanks (okay, we all know the deal on TotG), but I am looking for something I might not otherwise know oir go to if not for their decorations

Serendipity III has great decorations... and great desserts! You will wait anywhere from 2-3 hours for a table and they don't take reservations for dessert only (they will if you have a meal, though.) The decorations are of a "funky" Christmas theme.

The restaurant is small, but the wait is worth it if you have a sweet tooth. :o) I recommend the Frozzzen Hot Chocolate... but share it with someone!

Tavern on the Green is gorgeous! (I think the food is awful, but if you're anywhere near Central Park, this is worth seeing);

The River Cafe

Serendipity (wasn't inside, but the outside is very, very "Christmasy")

I haven't been there since the decorations went up, but going by past years, The Grammercy Tavern will look lovely.

La Grenouille. They have fresh flowers delivered everyday! The most beautiful and romantic restaurant in the city!
