Cranberry-sauced meatballs

Ingredients
1 beaten egg
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped toasted almonds
2 tbsp snipped dried cranberries or snipped golden raisins
2 tbsp finely chopped onions
1/8 tsp ground cloves or allspice
1/2 pound ground raw chicken or turkey
1/2 pound ground pork
nonstick cooking spray
3/4 cup catsup
1 8-ounce can jellied cranberry sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
1/4 tsp dry mustard

Directions
For meatballs, in a large bowl combine egg, bread crumbs, almond, cranberries or raisins, onion, and cloves or allspice. Add ground chicken or turkey and pork; mix well. Shape into 30 meatballs.
Lightly coat a 15x10x1 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Place meatballs in pan. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until done (165 degrees F).
Meanwhile, in a 10 inch skillet stir together catsup, cranberry sauce, vinegar, and dry mustard. Add baked meatballs; stir gently to coat. Heat through. Transfer to a 1 quart crockery cooker. Cover and keep warm on low-heat setting up to 2 hours.
Makes 30 meatballs (30 servings).

this is so easy. make your meatballs - or better yet buy the frozen already made. Then mix jar of grape jelly with a jar of chili sauce - pour over the meatballs and let them cook for 3-4 hrs on low. This is a cocktail meatball - not a dinner meatball.

Delicious - and so easy

I have had the meatballs with the grape jelly on them. We had them at a baby shower and they were gone before a plate of brownies- that's how good they are. I know it sounds like a crazy recipe but you won't be disappointed.

All time favourite at my house.

Put in sauce made of 1/2 bottle of ketschup, 1/2 bottle of Ginger Ale, 1 package of Onion Soup Mix.

(this takes care of the sweet, sour, spices and salt.)

Take minced meat, add 1 egg, your favourite spices, and Bread Crumbs to make into a consistency to form balls.

Add ball to sauce, cook until meat is cooked and sauce turns a light brown.

Good for cocktails or appetizer, not on spaghetti.

There are many of them! I use this website a lot! I am sure you will find a recipe there you will love. Slow cookers work ok for animal carcass but they are great for beans!
