using conditioner is always recommended....and is great for moisterizing you hair & keepin it from drying out, [causing dandruff, frizz, splitends...etc.]
yes leavin in your conditioner can help wash away pollution from the day, ne hair products that may cause damage to your hair....
although i wouldnt recommend leaving the conditioner in all day....if thats wat u mean.
also if your lookin to protect your hair...look the ingredients in your shampoo bottle...if it contains alcohol then find a new shampoo....alcohol causes dry hair, & damages your hair...you might want to look at any hair products you use as well to make sure they have little or no alcohol in them.
well hope i helped

No. It will moisturize, but not protect. Make sure the conditioner is right for your hair type (i.e. color treated, dry, frizzy, etc.) Apply conditioner on the ends of your hair and work your way up the shaft, but don't apply to roots. When you blow dry, use a mouse to protect from heat damage and add in a little leave in conditioner spray if your hair still feels dry. A better tip for protection hair is the rinse your hair in ice cold water after you shampoo and condition. It seal the hair shaft, locks in shine, and protects from blow dry damage. After you blow dry, give your hair a blast of cold air, see if your blow drier has a cold setting. That should work pretty well. How this helps.

As the others said, it leaves hair greasy looking. Try a leave in conditioner only on the ends.

Im a hairdresser...please never leave conditioner in your hair. I do recomend that you use it...leave it one for the recomended amout of time, and rinse compleatly. You hair only absorbs so much mosture. The key is to rinse with cool water to seal the hair folicule...which will help hold in mosture. To protect your hair..get recomended trims. No conditioner can repair damaged hair...only smooth it. Also...depending on the conditiner you use...if it is a protein based formula, leaving it in can actually break down your hair.

Not alot. Just the amount stated on the directions. Using too much will leave your hair limp.

No it just makes things greasy and icky. You should only use conditioner once a month, unless you like goo.

depends on the conditioner.
some conditioner left on for a while will make hair dry out.
conditioners work after they are rinsed out so if you don't rinse any out, all it will do is make it heavy (so heavy it will fall out before its time to do so)
