the more you give her now, the less she will have to open on Christmas day. Try to focuss on the magic of Christmas morning. Remember your childhood and how amazing and overwhelming it was to be covered in Christmas wrap and see endless presents coming your way. You are spoiling her, by giving them to her early. You are not teaching her patience, you are teaching her instant gratification, which is unrealistic for later in life. By holding out to the moment, you are not only creating amazing memories, but you are also teaching her about setting goals, reaching goals (how many sleeps to go?) and that some things are out of our control, and we just need to hold tight until we reach them! Good LUCK!! And, try really hard. You will have a much better time on Christmas morning.
BUT perhaps if you cant control yourself!! Go to a cheap store, and buy her one present for each day. Like a dollar store. Give her one small thing to open each day before Christmas!! And, dont forget you will want to replace all the presents she opened prematurely, and that costs money. Dont go over your budget, that too isnt setting a good example for your daughter!
Merry Christmas!

Try this. Some people celebrate the 12 days of Christmas. giving there children a gift on each day, leading up to Christmas. All the gifts don't have to be elaborate. Maybe start small and work your way up to the big gift. At least this way the gift giving experience is still special and you can continue to fulfill your need to give the gifts early.

Hide them! Just think of the smile on her face when she will see them all on Christmas morning. We need to stop buying, totally went overboard...but Christmas only comes once a year. You only have 7 more days to wait, you keep giving them away and you will have to go spend more money.!! LOL!!! Well, just hide them and try to do your best, I have mine all wrapped, so I have forgotten what some of them even are. Good Luck and I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas ( if there are any presents to open on Christmas morning )

It's hard not to give everything as you bring it home. Just think of Christmas morning! What will be left to open? Maybe you'll slow down remembering this?

STOP STOP STOP!!! Hide them now. Let some one else other than you and your daughter take them and hide them. I have the same problem. I just hid them in the trunk of my car with a blanket over them so as long as you dont see them you dont really think much on them.

You are the parent so you should be in control. Just say, "wait for Christmas" and really mean it. Kids obey when they sense their parent is serious. Be firm.

Think about it this way. If you don't control yourself, you will teach her that it is ok not to have self control. If you teach her self control, by leading by example early, it is an invaluable lesson for all of us to learn!
