It's just as valid as any other religion, which is really the point of the whole thing.
That's the first time I heard of the eight "I'd really rather you didn'ts". They are good advice regardless of what you think of the FSM.

I think it's great. I am a Pastafarian, and I love the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Have you read the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster by Bobby Henderson yet? You should read it, and you can get it pretty cheap at Amazon.com.
