It is the Peak season so do this: Find a flight connecting where people do not go there for Christmas. For example - if you fly from UK to Beijing, China (no one goes to China from UK in Christmas) - then fly from Beijing to BKK (no one from China goes to BKK for Christmas) - you will find more options. This routing may also work transiting via Middle east or India where there is no 'peak season for Christmas'. Look for non-western airlines (China air etc.).

Any normal flight from Europe/USA to BKK over Christmas will be expensive and full. Once you get there - you will have a hard time finding a cheap hotel with rooms. You will either pay a lot or stay somewhere not-ideal. Good luck.

The prices over this period are always higher and the seats are limited due to the faact that people go home over christmas and it is always very very busy. You will be hard pushed to get a flight under £1000. For this time of the year you need to be booking at least 9 months in advance.

The Far East and Australia are very busy over Christmas and New Year!

Unless you can find an operator with a package including hotels then I dont think you will bw able to do it with your budget.

At this late date? You must have some good connections at the airlines. Most tickets will run you about $1300 from the U.S. and over 1000 Pounds U.K. You should have planned and bought your tix 3 months ago at worst. So close to the holiday you will be lucky to find anything on any airline. No discounts will be found now since Christmas is this weekend. I suggest you put it off for this year and plan for next year...or come over in April for Thai new year...Songkran!

hey. right it is somewhat help for you about your excursion. Airport link Bangkok is a “city coaching guide” internet website to grant a listing of outlets, eating places and different places of activity for Suvarnabhumi and Bangkok. The Suvarnabhumi airport boasts many useful houses and Bangkok is a surprising city, the city that not in any respect sleeps. BTS Bangkok promises the most helpful archives about Thailand.

Not a hope. £1000 is going to be as good as it gets. This time of year has higher fares to start off with, and you've left it very late to book. And it's not just about getting out there, it's about getting back too - that's going to be a bigger problem as everyone is trying to get back at the same time from Asia or Australia via Asia. When I used to book for passengers, I found that I couldn't get people back until the end of January.

well i don't think you could get a cheap flight at this time of the year, this is a high season of the year and only how many days to go it's christmas. you should book them earlier. i used to book flight back home in phil every xmas 10 months advance and it still cost me £600- £800. but just try those last minute set probably you'll get luck, but since this is a long distance flight i'm not quite sure if you could get one last min. just see a flight agent.

you're wanting to travel to a hot country at the most busiest time of the year. you probably won't be able to get tickets for anything cheaper. if you'd booked a long time ago it would've been a lot cheaper.
