hey hey,
i have long, thick hair, with a bit of a wave. I tend to just straighten it, but i am now getting bored. It's either that or a pony tail. Does anyone have suggestions as to what i could do to wear it up, or any styles in general?
thanks guys :-)

I have thick hair too. As for best answer, well, I know I can't compete with Lilli's post. Still, here's my 2 cents.

My friend French Braids my hair for formal occasions and that look would probably work for you, though of course I haven't the faintest clue as to what you look like in terms of face frame, hair color, etc.

Hope it works.

there are tons of things u can do with long thick hair
try a simple head band everyonce n a while...it'll look cute...
-braids
-twists on one side of your hair (leave the rest down)
or
-half your head (with the back hanging down....)
-a pony tail with the little hump on top....
-low pig tails..(i kno they're alil kid'ish but hey they still look cute on us older girls)
mmm....lemme think wat else
if u dont have layers try gettin layers in your hair...to add some volume and life into your hair instead of dule straightness all the time.....
especially with thick hair its better to have layers...to spreadout the thickness. [if your hair is as thick as im thinking]...you kno wat i mean...
but those are all the ideas can come up off the top of my head hope i helped

ok, what looks really cute with thick hair is the half ponytail look. u only pull back half of ur hair. and just leave the rest down.

I have really thick hair also, try a messy bun, or half up half down, or braids!

First you shouldn't be using ponytail holders in your hair. They break your hair. There's a wealth of hair styles for all people on google.ca.

french braid, put french twist roller to make your hair in tight curls, french roll it, let it hang out. headband or other hair accesorires. pull hair back and place in a sleek bun (make sure your eyebrows are done), get a hair cut. or color it with temporary color it. and if you want to be fun, wear a wig!
