Tinnitis is, unfortunately, one of the most difficult problems to treat.
Occasionally craniosacral therapy or cranial osteopathy can help.
I would be concerned about a sufferer undertaking long-term fasting!
Sorry, but it really is a very hard thing to work with.
Good luck.

A couple things that aggravate Tinitus are aspirin and apririn like products i.e. Ibuprofen, tylenol. Also, caffeine. If you are using any of these, you could stop and see if you have any improvement. Also, I understand that salt can be a contributor.

I have it also. Sometimes it goes away but most of the time its here. I keep some kind of noise around, the stereo or t.v. At night I sleep with a small fan going. It helps to drown it out. Theres not any other way to get rid of it though, so we have to live with it.

Tinnitus can be cured only by fasting (not eating food) for as long as it takes for it to go away.
