Because our stupid government is concerned with the problem of obesity that is going around. And not all soda is banned from schools they can still carry sodas with caffine but no sugar which is diet and they can carry soda with sugar but no caffine but the percantage of sugar in the soda cannot be more than 15%

Soda contains high fructose corn syrup which is absorbed directly into the body unlike sugar that has to be processed. These high sugary foods lead to obesity in children and early onset of type 2 diabetes.

It is banned from schools because of the high caffeine and sugar contained in those drinks. Alot of the hyperactivity in children is blamed on these products. They are fattening and with todays seditary society, they cause diabetes and kidney problems.
Water is a much healthier alternative and we need to teach our children at a young age that these product are unhealthy and we can reduce the cost of healthcare by providing more nutritional food and drinks in our schools, homes and workplaces.

There is absolutely no nutritional benefit from drinking soda. It is just empty calories, it gives a sugar rush and then a comedown, not sustaining energy levels for the afternoon, and it rots teeth and contributes to weight gain

because it has to much sugar, they passed a law that said if somthing had over x amount of sugar it could not be served. They think this will help with childhood obesity.

Because of the sugar and caffeine...it's not considered to be "part of a healthy diet" and is leading to childhood obesity.

Because it is bad for your bones, teeth, weight and almost all health issues. It is particularly bad for children since their bodies are still developing.
