"And on the fifth day, the lord didith makeith the beasts of the land and the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. And the lord saw how tasty they were and didith eat a few of them saying 'Well, I really ought to sample a few just to make sure they taste good, I've got people coming over tomorrow' And the lord beheld how tasty they were and was unable to stop eating once he beganith. And lo, The dinosaurs were the tastiest of all, and the lord ate every last one of them. And the lord said 'Dang, I ate all the dinosaurs. I guess I better make something else for the people to eat' And the lord did make all manner of tasty animals. He made deer and elk and havolina to crawl upon the land. He made ducks and geese and pheasants to fly in the air. And he made turkeys to mostly crawl upon the land, but sometimes fly in the air. Like when you shoot at them, or when they are roosting in their roost tree for the evening. And the lord said 'Wow, these look really tasty, too. The people will surely eat all of them, just as I have eaten the dinosaurs' And in the evening of the fifth day the lord created the Department of Fish and Wildlife so the people would not eat all of the tasty animals."

Again, anti-hunters are too ignorant to understand ecology and the benefits of hunting. Why don't you all do some research and see how the ecosystem works. See what ecologists and wildlife conservationists think. Many of the species WILL overpopulate and do indeed need regulating. An overpopulated species WILL harm the environment making it inhabitable for wildlife. Because of urbanization, we force out alot of the game animals' natural predators. Without us regulating, the populations will exceed the habitat's carring capacity and the habitat will no longer support that species. The land will be overused and soon be nothing but inhabitable land.
There are so many examples of this happening and so many examples of how regulated hunting has allowed wildlife populations to thrive. Do your damn homework and quit harassing everybody and trying to make us feel bad for what we do. These animals know nothing other than the simple principles of like which is kill or be killed and predator and prey. They know no difference between us and another one of their predators.
If you are religious, the bible says the animals are here for us. If you are more scientific, then ecoligy clearly spells out how the ecosystem works and must be kept in balance.
It's obvious you are either just trying to cause trouble or you are overly sensitive and can't handle the way of life.

God put animals on this earth to serve man, not vice versa. If an animal kills a human, is it going to go to Hell for what it did? True, we don't have to hunt as a means of survival, anymore, but if we didn't hunt, the animals would kill each other off. man is the greatest predator, but we have seasons to hunt certain animals. Animals don't have seasons, and they kill whenever they feel like it. As for what you said about it being healthier to not eat meat, you are a nutcase. I know a couple of vegetarians, and they look real healthy. They are really pale, and both get sick, alot. Besides, you aren't the one to judge, only God can do that. Go preach your message on somewhere else.

It's not whether or not killing animals will send you to hell, but it's what kind of thought process you're using when killing.
I'm an atheist, but I understand the difference between right and wrong as any normal, intelligent human being should. Obviously, killing an animal, person, or creature usually has a specific mind set to it while its being performed. If you are hunting for game, obviously you will have a different mindset than, say, wrapping a wire around your cats neck and lynching it, or lighting it on fire with butane.
People who lynch animals, electrocute animals or light animals on fire are much different people than individuals who shoot animals for assorted positive-for-the-person reasons.
"God" still gives us the option to kill animals for food. He wants us to do it relatively painlessly. He does not want us housing cows in 3x6 cages and pumped full of vitamins and crap and never see the light of day.
People who kill for food or because there is no other way are different than those who kill just because they can.

In the bible it talks alot about being a good stewart, and taking care of the things God has provided us, I believe this includes everything, including animals.
I eat meat and that is my choice, but altough I love to hunt I believe if you kill it, you eat it. If we stopped killing animals now, it would kill us in the long run, they would eat all of our food.
Man threw the balance out of the system a long time ago, we now HAVE to regulate and control animal populations, it is to far out of balance.
They are right now having a damage control hunt in Colestrip Montana, right after the close of the 5 week regular hunting
season.
This is due to the over population. The deer are a menice, they are attacking people, you cannot drive through town without having to swerve for deer, they are eating peoples trees, shrubs yards, ect.
The police department says that 2 to 4 deer are being hit by cars every shift.
In being good stewarts of what God has put us in charge of we have to help control the animal populations.
I am sure you live in the city, and do not get to see the reality of animal populations, But I live in Montana, we eat meat, and I have NO fear of going to hell, because I am a good stewart.

If I end up going to hell I'm pretty certain it won't be from hunting animals that I eat. If I'm wrong, then at least I'll be in good company as all my ancestors and relatives hunt or did hunt before they passed.
If I believe what you're saying, then all my relatives are in hell? Even my two Great Uncles that hunted and were preachers?
I guess I'll take my chances. See you on the other side?

Send me ,I'll hunt and fish there to!!!! I also didn't bother wasting my time by reading the rest of your whiny story about the bible and the lord, but not every one is independently wealthy and can afford to go to the store and purchase hormone infested meat and produce,Q for you, have you ever been to a chicken slaughter house? I can tell you that the game that I kill ,(that's right,I said kill)dies a lot more humane than some of those birds.Happy Hunting to all.

Interesting selective scripture interpretation. While you're entitled to your own opinion, so am I. I think you're nuts and typical troll, but let's go down your statement/question:
Yes, I 'm a Christian and no I will not burn in Hell for hunting. The animals which I kill are all eaten, therefore providing sustenance for God's only creature made in his likeness.
Yes, mankind must kill animals to survive. If the wildlife was not culled, the animals would overpopulate and eat all your veggies - leaving you to starve.
Say what you will with the whole meat or no meat thing, but I feel we're meant to eat meat - hence our "K-9" teeth (like the dog reference?)
I am not as enlightend as you, for I do NOT know animals have a soul. In fact, I feel all the animals are here FOR me/mankind.... We/mankind is not here for the animals. While I love my dog, it's still only a dog.
Now you contradict youself here "..kill one of God's creatures, not for survival (as God intended) but for recreation...." everything I shoot is eaten. Why does it matter if it is a "tasty meal" or a grub worm salad - It's providing valuable nutrition either way. I'm confused as to how you equate "gluttenous cravings" with hunting.? Back to my earlier statement - we eat meat and must kill to do so. As far as paying a price for my actions, yes we must tolerate persons, such as yourself, that want to make us into something we are NOT designed/created to be. Man eats meat, period. That's fine if you chose not to, but that does not mean the human body was designed to be vegitarian.
Please, do us all a favor and stop trying to convert us - WE LIKE MEAT.

If you look back in the bible of Genesis you will find that god put animals on earth for man.God put man over the animals to use them in a ways as to benefit man kind as far as going to hell that's where Jesus Christ comes to earth to give us a choice to go to heaven. If you will turn to acts2:38 they ask Paul what you must do to go to heaven you need to read that.

In John 3:3 Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." The only thing that will send you to Hell is rejecting God. Killing animals just for sport is wrong but killing animals to feed yourself or your family isn't a sin.
