The thing that starts alarm bells ringing in your statement is the fact you are storing lenses in saline only. You are at risk of getting a serious eye infection such as microbial keretitis and could lose your sight. Saline has no disinfection properties against bacteria, viruses or fungi.
The reason disposable lenses need replacing is that they attract protein & lipids from your tear film. Whilst lipids will rub off on cleaning, protein does not, it chemically binds onto the surface of the lens. There are cleaners enzymatic cleaners that can remove them, but these are not cheap. It is prefersble to dispose of the lens.
If you have been advised to change after two weeks of wear, this means you can wear them 14 times before they need changing. You must thouroughly disinfect them whilst you are not wearing them. This is the most important factor.
Modern soft lenses do NOT require you to build up tolerance or wearing time, therefore if you haven't worn them for a week but wish to wear the next day, this is fine.
The golden rule with any contact lens wear is that if there is ANY discomfort, take them out immediatly.

Please bear the following in mind:
1) These are 2 week disposables. The ageing of the material starts as it touches the enzymes of your tear film (moisture in the eye).
2) Occasional wear should have full time care
3) You can not jump wearing hours more than 2 hours from previous day wear
4) If you follow the above rules, you may wear upto 7 times in 4 weeks. Discard your lenses immediately after that
5) If you wear more than 7 times, discard in 2 weeks
6) Never sleep in these lenses

Ideally you are supposed to weasr them 14 times but I usually can get almost 30 to 35 wears on them if I don't wear them for long periods of time I usually wear mine around 6 hours at a time and I keep them clean, I throw mine out when they start to get hazy or spotted or they start to burn my eyes but make sure they are comfortable when you put them in. Otherwise, when in doubt, throw em out.
