I'm indebted to an answerer on another question for inspiring this question. She described Armageddon as being Biblically defined as "the war of God against unrighteous humans".

Now, the theory runs that God created the universe, therefore what he says goes. But if I have a kid, and he turns into a teenager and says he hates me and wishes he'd never been born and steals from me and spits at me, yada yada yada, does that give me the right to kill the kid? I'd submit that it doesn't. So why should God have the right to wage a war on "lesser" beings like us? Can we not establish some sort of Deities Council to establish what He can and cannot do to us without having His weapons of mass destruction taken away? We all know what the rights of man are. But what are the rights of God?

According to the Betelgeuse Armistice of Stardate 2035.4, Jehovah is forbidden from the use of chemical weapons (such as Brimstone and Sulfur), deluge, and killing the firstborn of any nation.

However, starvation and pestilence are still in his bag of tricks. If you want to change the terms of the agreement, I suggest another war for Heaven. Remember, every time you burn a bible, a fallen angel gets its wings.

First of all you can't take anything away from God the kid is clearly on the wrong path. and when the Armageddon happens all Gods followers will all ready be in heaven so if stay on his path then the war won't be against you, and its not against man it is against the anti-christ(devi, lucyfer, satan) what ever you want to call him. as for the rights of God He can do what ever He pleases, and if you have a kid like that my advice is you pray for him p.u.s.h (pray until something happens) God will answer you when the time is right

Lets turn this to the correct way of asking the question

God is NOT waging war on the unrighteous, it is the other way around. And we all know who is going to win that war, right??

Evil fights God and His people everyday in this sinfull world and the people who made it that way. Man's heart and soul is as dark as Midnight anymore.

Ask Lucifer, he rebelled against God, and was cast out of heaven.

You don't have to do anything that God tells you to do either, you just wont be allowed into heaven when your mortal body is placed in the cold earth.

You may get your chance, Satan - the accuser of the brethren, will wage one more battle with God, with luck you could be there and take part in it.

When people stop worshipping God, they stop being his children.

If your neighbor was killing your children how far would you go to protect them?

It is for the love of those who desire to do his will that God steps in and corrects matters.

God is the only one who has the right to disipline his creation how ever he see fit.

Jesus is not coming to wage war on humans but to battle Satan and His armies.
