which part of the uk can i find northern lights in Feb 2007? i heard it can be seen in the isle of man and in inverness... but will it still be there in Feb and is it on show every night?

You can be just about anywhere, but you need to be away from the city lights to be able to get the best results. Try using a link to a nearby university that has an astronomy program as many put out alerts when the chances of aurora (northern lights) might be active. I have alerts e-mailed to be from the NASA website and in the UK I expect there may be some organization as well that puts out alerts.

I live in western Nebraska, USA and the skies here are dark to be able to see the northern lights.
