Sounds like you are just different to the people you have to share your life with, you could be a lot more intelligent or an undiagonsed autistic for example. You certainly have depression and could be stressed due to the isolation it is causing.
These two can make someone think and do strange things if they are bad enough. Most importantly please remember you dont have to go through it alone. Try to find a councillor or better an open minded friend in the real world to chat to. I know a lot cant but there are some out there that can handle talking about this sort of stuff. Youre not crazy tho, crazy people never doubt their sanity even when they are clearly out of it. (strange but true).
I lived that kind of life until I finally found the answer and now I know whats up I never feel as low personally as I once did. Have a look at this and see if you have any symptoms

Look after yourself and remember NO-ONE not even family has the right to put you down. Take care

Freud said "No man is proof against himself". Most people take this to mean that if you have a physical illness you go to see the doctor, but if you have a mental illness, you might not know about it or accept it. So bear this in mind.
You have not given many symptoms in your question. What strange things do you keep doing?. What you have mentioned are: low confidence, self hatred and difficult relations with others especially family, who want you to get help.
For these symptoms the possible options include: a personality disorder, being scapegoated by the family, depression and being 'normal'.
'Mental' is not always a helpful label. Ask yourself instead if you function as a member of society. If young are you taking advantage of educational opportunities?, if older are you getting on with having family, relationships a job etc.?
Finally, there is nothing wrong with getting checked out. It could mean a whole different life. Sometimes I wish the mental health people would give treatment to everybody. We all need help.

I think you are in a very horrible situation. I am very sorry you hate yourself cos that is not at all nice. Your family should not keep saying you are not all there, whatever you are like. Of course you have no confidence if they are saying things like that. OK, I suggest you start ignoring them and get some reassurance from someone outside the family. Where I live there is a means tested counselling service and I talk to the people in it. If you did the same you could get feedback and reassurance, and talk about why you hate yourself (probably the way your family treat you) and hopefully you can feel better and get on with your life. Good luck and email me if you want to.

It is normal, everyone feels that way sometimes. Just don't dwell on it. Try to think positively. There are more unluckier persons than you are and they opt to be happy. No one can make that for you. Happiness is a choice., choose to be happy no matter what happens. It is difficult to do this but keep trying and soon you will learn how to look for something positive. Remember, this is your life, not someone else's life. You should make the most out of it, love yourself because in the end, it is you alone who would benefit from it. Good luck.

Maybe you answered your own question, but you didn't give any details as to what you do that make people say that.. so can't really give you an opinion.
Honestly, if you do think you hate yourself, you don't want to post that here, going to get a lot of responses from people trying to be funny that might just bring you down more. Talk to someone, maybe a psych, and just see..

I agree with Atla, or Alta (sorry, I don't have it in front of me). I wouldn't ask that on here because there are alot of jerks who will be mean. You need to speak with a psychologist IMMEDIATELY. If you are thinking that you hate yourself, you need help.
I am in this situation now...I have late stage Lyme Disease and it has caused me to have a whole slew of mental health problems and totally hate myself sometimes. But you can learn thought-stopping techniques, and you may need medication. People can't rely on meds though alone, you need therapy as well.
Good luck, and if you need to talk, you can e-mail me at KBeth1084@yahoo.com. Take care and have a happy holiday!

be strong my girl!
it sounds like you either have an imbalance of some kind in your system or you are lacking in some vital element/s ie: vitamin or mineral.
if you have access to a homoeopath then get a reading and if necessary treatment.
oh yes. if your feeling sluggish you could try treatment to clean your colon....it is said that you'll feel like a new person.

I think we would need more information on this. Personally, you may need anti-depression medication, or help with your problems. I would see a professional about this, and not try to get answers from a general community such as this.
