Can I just say I've read some of the answers here and II really wish people wopuldnt be so judgemental!

I'm not being funny Fassiacat, but you are being rude! Your beliefs are your beliefs and you are entitled to them, but then so is everyone else. The bible is open to interpretation, i hope you realise that!

And as for being judgmenta, here's one for you:

We should each firmly make up our own minds Romans 12:2

So the, let's stop judging one another Romans 14:13

Lies! A child is not old enough to know what it is that they are being baptized for. This should be for when they are older, saved and born again, after they repent to God all of their sins. You can be baptized 100 times and you still will not get to enter into the Kingdom of God until you are born again. It is in the Holy Bible. It is too bad that your Catholic faith does not teach you this. Don't pray to Mary either, as you are worshiping a graven image. OK enough said.

I was raised Catholic. I have walked away from the Catholic religion and became a born again Christian. It is the best decision I ever made. The Catholic religion did not teach me to be saved, born again, or anything like that even though it IS in the Catholic Bible. The priests expect you to go through them to get to God. This is not true. God wants his own personal relationship with you through His Son Jesus Christ.

Your decision and your eternity! Do you want to put your trust only in the Catholic Church?

fassiacatt7 on this answer page is correct!

You'll find everything you need to know here:

Also, infant baptism in the Catholic church is the ultimate act of salvation by grace, and not by works.

The infant is required to do absolutely nothing for himself, while the church freely provides all that is necessary (even the faith) for the salvation of the baptized, simply because God wishes everyone to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of his truth.

And nowhere in scripture is infant baptism prohibited.

Merry Christmas!

Not to be rude, but just to inform you, One is not supposed to Baptize infants, babies, or anyone who does not understand what the Lord has done for he/she. A child is innocent until the age of accountability, which only God knows. It is wrong to baptize a child period. Thanks and have a great day in the Lord, and Merry CHRISTmas. The order so to speak is to accept Christ as your Savior, repent, and then be baptized. It is in the Book of Acts, the first Book after the 4 Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
