try and find someone(where) you can take elocution lessons
if you think it is that bad , because psychologically , that may be your problem . but you don't to think you can' t get by in life just because you have an impediment .
example there is a lady here who runs a women's magazine ( among other beneficial things in life ) by the name of ita buttrose , who has a distinct lisp --- didn't impede her ability to kick a goal in life .( I'm in oz , by the way ) good luck

By first not calling yourself a weirdo (even if you're are a weirdo, don't voluntarily admit it).

I had a speach therapist correct mine, it took some work, but humans are very adept to change.

I believe that tongue exercises may be the correct approach, but someone has the internet spammed pretty good. try digging around.
