I was studying the bible a bit... this word keeps comming up and I dont know what it means, Can someone clearly explaine it to me?

It means that you realize you were wrong and want to change for the better and seek atonement, or cleansing, then pursue righteousness.

Definition: Turning away from sin by changing one's actions to obey the teachings of Jesus Christ. The repentance process consists of feeling sincere regret or sorrow for doing wrong, confessing the sin(s), asking for forgiveness, making restitution for any damage done, and promising not to repeat the sin.

As long as we live, we have to repent every day. Because of our ignorance, we constantly make mistakes; so we have to learn the teachings from the Messengers of the One True God and apply them in order to receive divine guidance and spiritual assistance to conduct a life worthy to a rational being.

To repent is to have a profound change of heart, and to subsequently act to amend one's behavior.
Both contrition (sorrow for committing sin) and true repentance are typically required by God for forgiveness.
Due to the power and authority of the Catholic church, and the infinite merit of Jesus Christ our savior, the requirements for forgiveness through the sacrament of reconciliation are somewhat more lenient, requiring contrition, plus only a FIRM PURPOSE of amendment.

To repent means to have a change of heart, or mind. If I repent of having 8 cats, it means that I have changed my mind about it and wish I didn't have 8 cats. If I repent of my sins, it means I have changed my mind about them and wish I hadn't committed them. So, it's a change of mind accompanied by an action. Peace.

Repent, ask for forgiveness, and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart. Repent means confess your sins and turn away from them.

Repentence means to turn around. The are two ways you can do it, one is works and the other is faith. If you turn your back on your sins, that is you doing it, and is works. If you turn to face God that is faith and He deals with your sins. One works the other doesn't.
