It's hard to keep believing in yourself and what you are doing.

It is a question of how one takes the responses. No one is normally attracted to people who are ever serious, withdrawn, react sharply, or with such uninviting traits.. But a nice person attracts every other person - often even the serious category - and behaviour of such diverse group of fraternity is likely to be varied - which should be expected. Having decided to be nice, one should not mind the type of reaction others make or the way some try to take advantage... But you will be admirable to the majority which should give you ample satisfaction.. Also learn to politely escape from people who try to take undue advantage at times.. They will learn that you can not be taken for granted and either mend themselves to keep your pleasant company or cut off from you and go in search of some other nice person who could be taken advantage of! So don't think being nice is problematic - the positive side is more attractive.. All the best.

If you are nice, just be alert when someone is trying to take advantage of you or step over you. When you can feel this happening or about to happen, you must be able to turn on your assertiveness persona like a light switch to disrupt that person doing that to you. Don't be an ****** b/c that's unprofessional, but instead you can be professionally blunt to get your message across quickly.

Being nice often tends to create disrespect from people,If you are known for being a "nice guy" people would feel like they can take advantage of you at anytime because you wouldn't retaliate or simply' just let it go'.This does not mean you should go around being nasty to people it simply means it pays to a little bit assertive sometimes.

u can be nice but dont be overly nice and let people take advantage of u. but if u know there's nothing wrong with u being nice, go to it. the world needs nice people like u :)

Nothing at all, but you do have to create a tough skin so as to not get hurt so easily, because there are alot of people who will take advantage of your good nature....Stay nice, it's not worth changing for the few who may not appreciate it....Good Luck and God Bless you, may you always stay true to yourself....
